Heavy duty gate springs are types of springs designed to help gates and barriers return to the closed position automatically after they have been opened. Depending on the needs of their clients, GL Metal manufactures custom barrier gate springs.

Barrier gate springs are a type of tension spring designed specifically for barrier gates and are suited for this purpose by their exceptional reliability and control. This type of spring is designed to stockpile potential energy by giving resistance to pulling forces.

When this stored energy is released, the spring will pull back at the ends that are connected on both of its sides such that the barrier or gate is pulled back together. You can install such springs on all types of doors or barriers, including those made out of wood. In most cases, you can expect to see such springs on admission control gates, industrial plants, garden entrance gates, school entrances, playgrounds, pedestrian gates, and more.
